AED’S Purchased for patrol vehicles
Sheriff BJ Barnes announces the Sheriff’s Office has purchased (20) Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) through the use of grant funds.
The agency will issue the twenty units out to patrol officers and Legal Process officers to provide coverage countywide, to include incorporated areas of Greensboro and High Point. These officers will be able to respond to assist EMS and the fire department on Cardiac Arrest calls, in an effort to increase the survivability of citizens suffering from cardiac problems. Many times deputies are already patrolling or answering calls in the neighborhoods where medical calls are received and may able to respond quicker with this life saving equipment.
